Betty’s two front teeth were severely worn from years of biting right on the edges. We began by making models and having our cosmetic dental lab technician provide a diagnostic cosmetic wax up. Based on the successful results of the wax up we knew we could create a more functional, durable, and esthetic result if we followed some simple guidelines in tooth preparation. The wax up was the key to discovering what type of results we could provide. We communicated the shade of the adjacent teeth to the lab with digital photos so we could get the most accurate color match possible.

Peg had an upper left front bridge that she was unhappy with. We used cosmetic imaging to show her how much better her smile would look if we could provide better color and symmetry. We were also able to eliminate some minor crowding between the upper right incisors and cuspid. Empress Esthetic veneers bridgework were used to complete the treatment. Empress is very esthetic and natural looking and is strong enough to be used without any metallic support, even when replacing a missing tooth as we did for Peg. The actual results were better than the imaged results.

Donna had several concerns for her smile. She was concerned that the severe wear was making her appear older than she actually is. She was unhappy with the space between her front teeth and with the existing crown that did not match her natural teeth in shape or color. This was a very conservative cosmetic case involving 5 minimal prep Empress Esthetic veneers and 1 Empress crown on the previously crowned tooth.

Angela had 10 Dicor Plus veneers placed about 14 years ago. The four front veneers had visible chips and cracks and it was decided that they should be replaced. We used Empress Esthetic veneers and were able to closely match the shade of the adjacent veneers. We also decide to provide a more esthetic result by lengthening the four veneers to give a more pleasing smile line and rounding the edges to give a softer, more feminine appearance. The results were excellent.
